Hospital San Javier understands how difficult it is for parents to need pediatric and neonatal intensive care, for the liaison between them and their children is a synonym of love, fondness, protection and care in every sense. However, continual accompaniment and assistance by qualified personnel in a critical health situation is a priority.
For this reason, the hospital developed the Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (P&NICU), with the purpose of accompanying newborn, lactating, pre-school and school patients during their health recovery process who suffer from critical stage conditions and to bring them back to their families.
This is feasible thanks to the support of a team of specialists in neonatology and specialists in medicine of the pediatric patient in critical condition, supported by state-of-the-art technology to provide timely, continuing and personalized medical care, with human warmth as is required at a time like this.
To provide assistance to neonatal patients, with or without congenital malformations, respiratory distress syndrome and timely and responsive solution for premature babies:
Among the most common reasons to admit a pediatric patient in the P&NICU are the following:
Every effort of the unit is focused in providing professional, timely, immediate and quality medical care to every neonatal and pediatric patient in critical condition, by providing the human warmth that is needed at a time like this.
This unit is supported by Hospital San Javier and its laboratory and imaging areas to guarantee safe and timely diagnosis of its pediatric patients, since access to state-of-the-arte technology may be accessed 24 hours a day, 365 days in the year, such as: RMagnetic Resonance, Tomography, Echo, Portable X-rays, and Laboratory.
The P&NICU has maintained its leadership in the west of Mexico because of the quality of its assistance and its commitment with the continual and permanent improvement of all the processes comprising its operation, so that patients may be given a worthy service.
